Ability to Learn/Benefit Status

Any applicant with a sincere desire to prepare for effective Christian ministry, but without a high school diploma or equivalent will be admitted into an associate’s degree program on an ability to learn basis.  The student must demonstrate a level of competence as a college student.  The student will also be placed on probation status until he or she has completed the first 15 SCH (5 courses) maintaining a minimum grade of "C," at which time the probation status will be removed.  Students enrolled under this status are not eligible for Life Learning/Ministry Portfolio Evaluation (LLMPE) credits.

Official Registration

Advanced Standing: While it is not required, a student may submit an application for evaluation if advanced standing is desired, and upon acceptance and notification of advanced standing, submit an official registration application for admission.  Upon submitting an application for evaluation, the materials submitted with the application (copies of transcript, certificate, diploma, degree and/or LLMPE resume) will be evaluated and the applicant will be notified of acceptance into the program applied for.  The applicant will also be notified of advanced standing status (if applicable) based on the evaluation of academic transcript and/or LLMP, the number of credits required to complete their degree program, and required tuition.  The student must then submit an official registration application for admission into AICU.  LLMPE is not applicable to certificate and diploma programs.

No Advanced Standing: Students not applying for advanced standing may submit an official application for admission form to AICU without delay.
